great book for veterinarians July 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Even if you aren't a veterinarian who works with exotic animals, let me tell you that this is one book your clinic shouldn't be without. I refer to this book on 98% of my exotic cases - I suppose the final 2% belongs to guinea pigs, of which I feel vital information is lacking (dosages, etc.)
However, I would recommend this book to any clinic, as it will help you through the easy to difficult cases, and give you confidence to pursue further cases. Plus both Drs. Tully and Mitchell are very accessible and personable and will help you in any way they can.

I am a vet school applicant so I was mainly looking at this for my own interest. I was mostly interest in the wildlife chapter that was decent but didn't go into a lot of detail. The rest of the book was very detailed and covered most exotic species. Lots of pics and easy to understand.
